Our story
Music is better when you make it with other people.
Beyond the Recital started with a simple frustration: too many adults and many students who play instruments have nowhere to play them. We built the thing we wished existed. Full bands and ensembles created. ESA students who have no school concert bands or orchestras to be a part of! We can change that! Vocal coaching is being offered such as, Barbershop, Choirs, DJ's and Theatrical Coaching is also available. We are here to build a music family of musicians to be a part of the real world of music.
Our mission
Get musicians off the couch and onto a stage.
Most adult and student musicians are stuck in the same loop — practicing alone, watching tutorials, playing the same songs they learned in high school or learned by ear. They're good enough to be in a BAND, ENSEMBLE OR CHOIR. They just don't have one.
Beyond the Recital matches adult and student musicians into small groups or bands, gives them a rehearsal space, and puts them on a real stage. No auditions. No experience requirements. Just a commitment to show up, practice, and perform.
Come make a dream come true and perform your voice or instruments from the heart, with other musicians who feel the same as you.
Real stages, not recitals
Every group performs at a real venue for a real audience. We don't do showcases in living rooms.
No gatekeeping
Beginners play with beginners, veterans with veterans and all in between. The only requirement is that you show up.
Community over competition
We're not a music school. We're a community. Groups support each other, share gear, and come to each other's shows.

I played in bands throughout my 20s, then spent over a decade raising my son. I eventually continued my love of playing in bands. I play guitar, bass, keys, sax and Sing.

I match musicians into groups and keep rehearsals running. I have a background in music education and choir directing. I have a deep belief that everyone deserves to play live.

MEDIA & MARKETING DIRECTOR
Coco handles the media, marketing, the gear, and the logistics that make everything else possible. As my right hand lady, she continues to support and put her all into the mission of Beyond The Recital.
